Exceptional Buy ~ No Buyer’s Remorse here . . . At first I wasn’t sure about the SU4100 CPU & 64 Bit Windows~7 Operating System, but both have proven to handle everything I need to do including my MagicJack VoIP System. I really like the 8+ hours of Array Duration on this Model Acer. Just ordered an Aluminum Notebook Case (for a Fantastic Price) owing to Amazon.com that is a exact fit & protection for this Acer Computer as well as all my accessories, for while I’m traveling. Take a look at the following web link: [...]

I typically use the computer for listening to music, hooking the hdmi to my tv to watch 720p movies, building web sites with Microsoft expression, downloading a lot of content from the internet, use video conferencing, and use remote desktop to connect to and fix other computers.
Pros
- dual core does an exceptional job of multitasking for a 1.3Ghz low voltage
- chicklet keyboard is a pleasure to type on, just the right feedback
- never gets warm or loud under any condition
- really will last up to 8 hours
- very solid build quality
- includes multi touch track pad
- very thin and light
- very quick wifi with draft N equipment
- bright screen
- very stable with Windows 7
Cons
- cpu can easily hit %100 usage if before a live audience videos (1080p files skip)or heavy multitasking
- GMA 4500 video provides only basic capability and kills your windows index score
- screen quality has limited viewing angles and is some what washed out (it is average compared to other notebook screens, but not a deal surf)
- hard to see keyboard in low light (needs back lighting)
- lacks bluetooth and esata ports
- multi touch trackpad gestures do not work as well as they should
- trackpad button is very stiff and can wear down your thumb or fingers
- speakers are very soft
Overall if I had to make the buy again, I certainly would. Why? For such a low price it does an exceptional job of coiffure excellent performance with incredible array life. This is my first Acer and I am very pleased so far. But, I still need a powerful desktop though for heavy duty work and bluray ripping.

Bought this machine for my senior in college. I was very impressed by a number of items. The show on this machine is very apparent. The machine is very light at 5.3 pounds which is fantastic if you have to carry it around campus with you. The ULV feature keeps the machine from getting hot. The ancient laptop would get very warm and possibly even hot at times. The processor is well apposite for the machine as well as supporting Windows 7. The wireless capability of his machine is also very excellent compared to some of my other laptops. No drops or dead spots anywhere at home or on campus. Lastly the 6 cell lithium cell array provides enough power to run the laptop much longer than most. It’s power save feature gives you over 7 hours of life. Which is fantastic for a college student.
