I just picked my e525-2200 from Best Buy for a smooth $279.99 plus tax. That’s much cheaper than anywhere I’ve ever seen it. The laptop is packed full of facial appearance and Windows 7 is incredible. I only have a few complaints. The first is that when you click and drag the mouse it takes about a second or half to let go of whatever you were dragging it across. It’s a real pain when dragging a Google map to see another location. The other complaint that I have is the fact that the speakers’ volume is basically non-existent on my computer. It is very cool down. When watching Hulu videos I have to be really close to the screen even at the peak level of volume. This may just be a problem with my computer. I’m going to see how well emachines’s customer service treats me when I have a break from grad school. I couldn’t pass up the deal I found on this, but there may be a better deal out there for $370.00!

I bought mine for about $300 and so far its been a fantastic laptop. My 4 year ancient watches DVDs on it and cartoons off youtube and its fantastic for surfing the web. It has done everything I have questioned it to do and is really quicker than my desktop with a dual core processor. Ive pretty much place away the desktop. It starts right up and shuts down in the blink of an eye as well. My only problem is with the touch pad which seems finicky but I hear theres a fix for that…Im just too bone idle to try. This was an exceptional value, it does more than a netbook will and at about the same cost. If you just need a basic setup then this is it.

Just got this today. As a test for the processor and ram I downloaded Wow. It runs at about 23 fps. Which is better than the desktop I had that had an AMD processor. It is a new experience working on Windows 7. It is pretty nice, but will take a small bit to get used too. Over all very satified at the second.

Not a ton of facial appearance, but has a quick enough processor for web surfing and MS Office. Goes to sleep and comes back to life quickly with Windows 7. Excellent alternative to a netbook that has a micro-sized screen. I also have the Acer translation (straight Acer strain, not Acer eMachines) and it is nearly identical to this laptop, but has an AMD processor. I reckon this processor feels a small quicker. Just wish the processor was a dual-core. Also beware that the screen resolution only has a height of 768, which by today’s standards is a small small. But for the cash, you can’t beat it.
