I was disappointed in not being informed that the computer did not include a DVD/CD internal player, and no information was given as to the appropriate external player.
I should have been warned and the exact available external DVD/CD players recommended, especially for first time buyers!!!
Thanks

I couldn’t get the program to work correctly. When it crashed lacking ability to access anything I installed the recovery discs which I had to pay for and have sent. About a week’s worth of no computer. The discs wouldn’t install at all but then did after using safe mode. Not everything installed. But be very careful because if you receive an update it will cause the program to not work again. Re-install. HP would do nothing for me. You write to them, they call, they offer to have you pay for them to look at it. Another week no computer. They tell you its fixed. Its not. They do nothing. Bought another laptop NOT HP. Went to our local busiest store, the salesman tells me that 80% of what they have in for repairs is HP. Fantastic, hundreds of dollars for instant garbage.

I talked myself into a HP because I loved the keyboard and size of this unit but within a day I noticed the screen would turn itself dimmer and that the array was not lasting anywhere near the 10 hours claimed. I chose to return the laptop and eat the restock fee. I don’t trust a strain that ships with known problems. If it had these problems out of the box, what was going to happen in 3 months.

I bought this computer 2 weeks before Christmas. I had never owned an HP before and despite my friends telling me to avoid this computer the look won me over and I bought it. I should have listened to my friends because I have had nothing but issues with the track pad, this includes freezing and zooming in and out for no reason. I fixed this by turning off all the finger commands. Abruptly on Jan. 5th, the computer would not turn on. This computer could have been a fantastic laptop if it was not for the terrible track pad and it breaking on me after only about 25 times being used. As soon as I get it back from repair I am selling it and never buying another HP computer again.
Pros:
Sleek sexy look
Fantastic specs for the price
Cons:
Terrible track pad
A waste of time software installed
Sound quality is poor
I would suggest avoiding this laptop and buying an Asus or Toshiba.
