Really average computer – Not that quick – I expected a lot more from sony with DUal core. Not as excellent as My ancient HP. Mouse buttons are Hard to press and extremely noisy compared to the SILENT buttons on my ancient HP. Below average and not as Quick as I thought it would be either.

Usual excellent Sony point. I was really pleased with it at first, but it kept freezing up and now I have either a) malfunctioning motherboard or b) crashed hard drive. It’s only been 25 days since I bought it. I know Sony has a excellent reputation so I don’t know what to reckon now. Is this product genuinely terrible, or was I just unlucky to buy a lemon?

I took this laptop from Amazon. It arrived in less than a week. The array life is lousy. It does not last more than 2 hours at all. I called the Sony guy, he told me not to use dvd, music player, camera, play games, watch movies or open too many windows at a time, and to restore all the settings to default. I told him I haven’t changed any settings and why the hell did I buy it for then if I am not supposed to use all of those things?? Still i tried to minimize the windows open and did not run more than 2 things but still the damn thing gave me just 2 hours of array life. Also another problem this machine has, is it keeps disconnecting from wi fi every 15 min. No one else using the same router has this problem.
The laptop does look excellent and is quick but I am persistent it to Amazon.

Light, cool down, quick and excellent looking. What else would you want from a laptop?
I’m very pleased with it’s performance and price (got it for $660 ).

Much like smallthings mentioned, I too am loving everything about this machine except for the touch pad. Same exact problem, it feels sticky- like theres dirt on it and the only management it moves smoothly in is downwards… I’ve had it 4 days and its pouring me nuts enough to consider persistent it…. I agree that would be a shame because the electronics of it work like a charm, bt connects simple, everything is simple which is why I like the vaios.
I also miss the x54 slot for my mogo mouse, which I could deal with for the trade off of the i5 processor and extremely comfortable and cool down keyboard. But the touch pad is pouring me nuts… its work to get it to go in any management except down!
